Foreclosure Counselor

Margert Community Corporation (MARG), a community based, non-profit, HUD certified housing counseling agency, is seeking to fill a TEMPORARY FULL-time, 18-month position in Far Rockaway. 

Responsibilities include responding to all foreclosure calls that come into the agency and entering them into our online computer system, counseling households that are in foreclosure or at risk of foreclosure by assessing their financial issues and applying potential loss mitigation options, representing homeowners at settlement conferences and making referrals to approved legal service partners. 

NOTE:  Weekend & evening hours will be required and compensated.

College Degree preferred.  Prior housing industry or mortgage banking experience preferred.  Salary Commensurate with experience ($43,000 +).
