Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
Income Eligibility
Households with incomes at or below 60% of state median income are eligible
for assistance. Program services are available to both homeowners and renters,
with priority given to senior citizens, families with children and persons with
disabilities.
Effective April 1, 2007 WAP subgrantees are authorized to implement the new
guidelines for determining WAP eligibility. Referrals to WAP subgrantees from
local departments of Social Services, and or Area Aging Agencies will reflect
these new guidelines. The implementation of these guidelines will assure that the WAP Program and the HEAP Program maintain
compatibility in the area of income eligibility.
