We provide homebuyer education services that have received certification and approval from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist prospective homebuyers in making informed and responsible decisions when purchasing a home.

Our curriculum and services are certified by HUD to ensure they meet established standards and provide accurate, unbiased information to individuals interested in buying a home.

These services may include:

  • Homeownership Education: Our HUD-approved curriculum offers comprehensive education on various aspects of homeownership, including the homebuying process, mortgage options, and financial responsibilities.

  • Budgeting and Financial Preparedness: Guidance on budgeting, credit management, and financial planning to help prospective buyers prepare for the financial commitments associated with homeownership.

  • Mortgage Options: Homebuyers receive information about different types of mortgages, interest rates, down payment requirements, and how to choose the most suitable mortgage for their needs.

  • Home Inspection and Maintenance: Education covers topics related to home inspection, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring that buyers understand how to maintain their homes properly.

  • Fair Housing and Anti-Discrimination: Buyers are informed about fair housing laws to prevent discrimination in housing transactions and promote equal access to homeownership opportunities.

  • Down Payment Assistance: HUD-approved programs often provide information on down payment assistance programs and grants that can help buyers with limited financial resources.

  • Understanding Contracts and Closing Procedures: Prospective buyers learn about real estate contracts, the closing process, and their legal rights and responsibilities during the homebuying transaction.

We also provide one-on-one pre-purchase counseling sessions to address individual questions and concerns, helping buyers navigate the complexities of the homebuying process.

Margert’s HUD-approved homebuyer education classes play a crucial role in empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions throughout the homebuying process. Our program aims to promote responsible homeownership, prevent predatory lending practices, and increase housing stability among new homeowners.
